I so much more than agree with you! Especially after watching an extremely formative documentary on the Gulf War and Saddam Hussein. From all I saw and learned, in addition to being a good student and knowing my history, I would say that this is the ONLY recourse of action and one to be commended to our president for having the GUTS to stand up for what needs to be done in the face of those who would use this as an excuse to hold us down. Once again America and England fight together in a war that can and hopefully will liberate a severely repressed people. Remember WWII, they said don't fight Germany, imagine how many lives would have been saved if we would have come to the rescue of Europe sooner? Then others would say remember Vietnam and how that turned out, still others would bring us back to WWI, and others would look at Desert Storm. I say lets study the facts. The facts are, this bastard Saddam has NO care for his people, for he hides his military among civilians, sets his own oil on fire, and threatens to unleash the Tigris River which would cause massave damage on HIS OWN LANDS! Who is the madman? Who is the war monger? Who is the heartless slaughtering bastard? In a collaborative world government, ie the UN, rogues cannot be tolerated, if Saddam had kept his mouth shut and been happy enough with his own little regime ruling Iraq, we would have probably left him alone, but no... He tried to expand, and in this day and age expansion means taking over another known country, and in a United government, that is a threat and cannot be tolerated. Borders are drawn, governments established. Wars are more ecconomical than actual, the fight is NOT for land anymore but for the power to buy and sell. Saddam megalomanical ideals threaten the system, and if he can threaten our allies he can and will threaten us. Plus, he funds terrorism, and frankly, you destroy something of ours, and you KNOW war will and did result from it. Wanna talk about dead civilians? Lets remember what happened to us. Lets remember for a minute all those who lost lives, the big "phuck you America" they sent with our own planes, on our own shores, with pilots trained in OUR OWN SCHOOLS! Fear forced on us? Not for long. We have retaliated now, and the whole world can breath a sigh of relief when this dictator is taken down. Then we will rebuild them, and they have the oportunity they may have never otherwise had to get out of the ecconomic hole they have been in since Saddam claimed HIMSELF as president of Iraq. /rant off. I completely agree with you on hall monitor America. I always talk about how we try to personify "superman" and we are the good guys, blah blah blah. It's a running joke that if you need money, bomb our country, go to war for a few months and then we will send in a huge fleet of american's with pop-tarts and Jiffy. I don't like that. I do not like that while a country hates and dislikes us, we will continue to help them out, what does that do? I believe it makes them resent us more...so why do we do it? There are homeless among the streets that are mentally ill, that roam around the streets after the mass-deinstitutionalization during regan-omics, shouldn't we be addressing those issues? We should aid other countries once our country isn't rampant with homeless, the growing senior/medical insurance problems, gang, abundance of welfare and the list goes on and on. Ok, I shut up now. In regards to MIL, I guess I have a standard of how a Mom should be. I was fortunate to have a wonderful mom for as long as I did and MIL falls short of that standard. I get aggravated with the way she treats Serg, she hurts him with the things she says or (in the case of his birthday) doesn't say to him. Well.... one of my rules during my lessons is not to talk about government or religion as it is a touchy subject, & I'm glad you spoke your mind about this. However.. I was a little bit upset about this comment... All you foreign assholes ... can we not put ALL of them in that catagory? I guess I am sticking up for my Korean students/friends who attend college here & just want to get an education, not take our jobs. I'm with you on most of what you said there. I'm a very LIBERAL person but am in support of the war. I don't want war, but it's inevitable, partly because of Saddam and partly because of how Bush has played his cards. Thinking the world revolves around America. He's pulled out of plenty of international agreements (Kyoto, Anti-Ballistic Missle Treaty, International War Tribunal, etc.), but he expects the world to unite around us. Why? Just because we went in to help countries out when it was the right thing to do (even then we sometimes waited too long)? I'm sorry, but I don't think France should feel they HAVE to support us just because we saved their asses. That was a different war during a different time. Bush has not successfully convinced the nations of the world that this is necessary. He's given a ton of speculation and changed his reasoning when someone shot it down. As for Bush. Yes I hate him, I think he's a moron and ya know what... I voted for the guy that won, not the one that was assigned. If you take the insurance for just you its not too bad at all..if you have a spouse tho, its totally not worth it!! My hubby worked for them up until just recently and then he went to work for the vendors that go in and take care of some of the differant departments! During my summer as a cashier in a hardware store I can into contact with some pretty disgusting people...But it was the people that came into the department store I worked at for a year that were far more gross. Did you know that people actually piss and $hit in dressing rooms? Put their own dirty and crusty underwear in place of new ones and hang them back up on the rack for people LIKE me to find. UGH. And I thought the greasy, literally dirty people who came into the hardwars store were bad...While I was working at that department store I would have given my left tit to go back working there. I do however remember working at Sears Hardware when I was younger and JESUS CRIST I didn't know a damn thing about home repairs and tools and screws and nails, I however was very aware how hot the assistant manager was and the made the job a touch more bearable. I know how you feel.. well since the weather was supppose to be ucky here also I decided not to rent a hotel or cottage & I sure regret that. While trying to make our special romatic meeting, we had the phone ring, both looked at email, the dog started to bark right at the wrong moments which messes up the mood, & our bed is very uncomfortable. I will remember that next time I try to do something fun & romantic :) I'm not complaining it was still wonderful but I like getting away & just having "us" lots more. [Mysticmoonwave]

I am also a big supporter of Valentines Day. Last night while I was at work my father stopped by to give me my present. It was an authentic Victorian Music box from 1882 that had been restored. It was so beautiful. I'm also going to a wedding tonight which I think Its kind of corny to get married on Valentines Day but cute at the same time...and then at the end of the night I'm celebrating my Valentines Day with a hottie and even later on with my friends.
